Message	top of the line JL is the best, if you wont those low lows, and great bass response JL is the way to go, amazing sound! if you just want bump with drowning bass, go with kicker or some other brand. ive owned RF, Kicker, and now JL. 1 JL 10w3v3 sounds and hits better than my RF and Kicker systems, and those had 2 12" woofers. you can get 1 JL 10w3v3 woofer for about $150-200, and a JL 500/1v2 amp for about $400. that cuts it close to you budget, but its 1 woofer but you have 2 boxes... if you want 2 JL woofers, $150 ea, and if you want a JL amp go with JL 1000/1v2 for about $650 and will push 500watts to each woofers. if you cant afford the JL amp then i would go with RF P1000-1bd for about $350 which will end up $100 over budget... also if you dont have wire yet, you will need to get that as well... all in all quality sound cost money, all depends on how much quality you actually want.
